You may be brave enough to face a needle or absolutely terrified of them, but if you’re a nerd, the thought of having a symbol or a quote from your favourite fandom tattooed on your body has certainly crossed your mind.

It doesn’t matter if it’s a deathly hallows art with the words “The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death” snaking around it (never seen that one before) or a meditating hulk (because why not), the idea of having something you love inked on your body forever is the last and boldest move to proving your passion and it seems like a worthy chance to take.

Instagrammer @elrokk86 is yet another in this sea of passionate fandom junkies. His eloquent way of expressing this passion though has set him a class apart from the rest. Not only has he managed to gruff up our everyday superheroes with his fine bearded art, he has gone a step ahead and reimagined them as those tattooed gods you would openly gawk at without being ashamed. Take for instance, everyone’s childhood spinach eating hero. The anchor tattoos were fine and everything but this gives Popeye a whole new badass persona, that would definitely make one go “Hello, sailor!”. *wolf whistles*

And Catwoman here has got it more than just right. If that doesn’t get Batsy’s attention, we don’t know what will.

Seriously, this guy can even make doughnut tattoos seem like a great idea.

It doesn’t stop there though; @elrokk86 even has a series of unconventional tattoo art that he’s tried on himself. God of War fans, hold your breath for this one.

And for all those worrying about how your tattoos would affect your traditional wear, check this out.

We were floored by this insanely talented artist here. Don’t forget to check out the rest of his work ( and leave a comment below on which of these you might think of replicating.
